Asia has a unique fragrance profile, and unique needs and solutions. IFRA is engaged across the APAC region to promote the safe and sustainable use of fragrances
In 2023, IFRA engaged dynamically within the APAC region, initiating collaborations and dialogues to promote the safe and sustainable use of fragrances. Key activities included workshops in Jakarta, MOUs with the Association of the Flavor and Fragrance Industry of Indonesia (AFI) , the Indonesian Essential Oils Council, and KCII in Korea, focusing on sustainable practices and regulatory knowledge exchange.
Efforts extended to China, enhancing dialogues on common priorities such as the IFRA Standards and alternatives to animal testing. Amid global regulatory challenges, IFRA's overall strategic goals apply equally to APAC as regards self-regulation, advocacy, and global collaboration, establishing new partnerships and reinforcing its commitment to fragrance safety and sustainability.
