IFRA’s engagement in Latin America

IFRA continues to work closely to advocate for fragrance across LATAM

In 2024, Latin America advanced chemical substance management with Brazil introducing a national inventory and countries like Chile, Colombia, and Peru refining legislation. IFRA worked with national associations, local partners, and the Latin American Regulatory Cooperation Forum (LARCF) to promote regulatory harmonization aligned with international best practices.

For 2025, IFRA will focus on ingredient defense, MERCOSUR-related topics, and sustainability initiatives, including biodiversity and supporting small and medium-sized members. The 2025 EOI Week will be held in Santiago, Chile, in June.
