The interview

IFRA’s engagement in Latin America

Deepening engagement and preparing for regulatory change

Eduardo Valle, Senior Regional Manager, Latin America at IFRA, reflects on a year of strong regional and local engagement.

In 2025, IFRA held roadshows in Brazil and Mexico with the National Associations ABIFRA and ANFPA, strengthening dialogue with industry and government stakeholders. In June, IFRA LATAM Week in Santiago, Chile, addressed key issues including chemical inventories, biodiversity and the Nagoya Protocol.

IFRA also expanded its outreach through webinars, workshops and closer collaboration with regional partners such as CASIC. Priorities for 2026 include ingredient defense as new restrictions emerge, trade developments linked to the Mercosur–EU agreement and more capacity-building, including the next IFRA LATAM Week, scheduled for June 2026 in Colombia.
